Falstone is the capital of the
Upper North Tyne
The name is said to be derived from
Anglo Saxon and means “Stronghold”
The Black Inn, Falstone, is a splendid
17th Century Inn,
traditionally constructed in local stone,
situated in the heart of a picturesque
village east of Kielder. |

No two rooms are the same and are en-suite with TV, hair drier and hospitality tray. The family room sleeps up to 5 people.
The garden to the side is a grassed area with tables and chairs.
We have excellent off road parking facilities.

As an Inn, the Blackcock has always
provided “shelter and sustenance” to
weary travellers.
Our menus do this with a variety of dishes
including vegetarian options, carefully
prepared using the very best local produce.
We also give children the option to select
from their own menu.
Enjoy a light and tasty snack at lunchtime or
wine and dine in style in the evenings in an
intimate atmosphere at Chatto's Restaurant.
Our traditional Sunday Lunch Menu offers a delicious
choice of meats and freshly cooked puddings.

Tucked away at the head of the North Tyne Valley, close to the Scottish

trails in England (differently graded) can be experienced.

of events and activities.

Europe, Kielder Water is able to offer a wide range of water based
activities, from water-skiing and windsurfing, to the more relaxing
boating and angling. The cruiser ‘Osprey’ offers an ideal way to
explore the lake. |
